Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the Nest

Thank you for stopping by Bird Lady Vintage! Whether you're visiting for a distinguished member of the Bird-gerton society or a timeless work of bird art, we're so grateful you're here. If your question isn't answered below, we'd love to hear from you.

Do you offer both digital downloads and physical prints?

Yes, but it depends on the collection!

Our original Bird Lady Vintage creations, including the Regency Collection and Storybook Collection, are available as both Instant Digital Downloads and professionally printed Fine Art Prints.

  • Digital Downloads are available immediately after purchase, allowing you to print at home or through your favorite local or online print shop.
  • Fine Art Prints are professionally printed and shipped directly to you, ready to frame and enjoy.

Our carefully curated collection of historic and public domain artwork is offered exclusively as Fine Art Prints.

Each product listing will clearly indicate whether you're purchasing a digital download or a physical print, so please be sure to select the version that's right for you before completing your order.

What is your return policy for Digital Downloads?

Due to the nature of digital products, we are unable to offer refunds on digital download purchases.

That said, we truly want you to love your artwork. If you experience any issues with your files or aren't completely happy with your purchase, please reach out. We're always happy to work with you to find a solution whenever possible.

How long do Fine Art Prints take to arrive?

Each Fine Art Print is made to order just for you.

Please allow approximately:

  • 3–5 business days for printing
  • Up to 5 business days for shipping (within the U.S.)

You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.

Who prints your Fine Art Prints?

Every Bird Lady Vintage print is thoughtfully produced by a professional fine art printing partner using archival-quality materials. Every print is made to order with great care, helping ensure your artwork arrives ready to be treasured for years to come.

Where does your vintage artwork come from?

One of our favorite things is discovering beautiful artwork from another era.

We thoughtfully curate vintage bird and nature illustrations that have become part of the public domain, allowing these remarkable works to be enjoyed by a new generation of bird lovers.

Rather than remaining tucked away in archives or old books, these illustrations are given a second life as carefully reproduced fine art prints for modern homes.

How are your prints reproduced?

We believe beautiful artwork deserves beautiful printing.

Every image is carefully restored, thoughtfully prepared, and professionally reproduced to preserve the character, richness, and charm of the original artwork while creating a print worthy of displaying in your home.

Are your Regency & Storybook bird portraits created with AI?

We believe in being transparent about how our work is made.

Some of our original collections—including our Regency and Storybook portraits—were thoughtfully created with the assistance of AI as part of a much larger creative process.

These collections weren't generated in bulk. They were developed slowly and intentionally because we wanted to create something we simply couldn't find anywhere else: soft, dreamy bird portraits filled with personality, storytelling, and a touch of feathered drama.

Every character is carefully selected, refined, curated, and woven into the whimsical world of Bird Lady Vintage. The technology is simply one creative tool among many—the heart of each collection is the storytelling, imagination, and care behind it.

Can I use your artwork commercially?

Unless otherwise stated, all artwork purchased from Bird Lady Vintage is for personal use only.

Our artwork may not be resold, redistributed, shared, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
